Buying guide / office chairs

Best ergonomic office chair in Canada? Start with fit.

A useful chair is one you can adjust to your body and desk. Compare maker-listed dimensions, adjustments and the Canadian purchase route below. We have not tested these chairs or ranked them; where possible, try a chair with your real work surface and tasks.

Choose fit before features

CCOHS guidance treats chair fit as individual. A feature list cannot show whether a chair will fit your body or task, so use these checks before choosing among models.

Seat and leg support

Adjust seat height so your feet are supported. Check that the seat does not press into the backs of your thighs or knees, and compare seat depth with your own leg length.

Backrest and lumbar

Check whether the backrest can be adjusted to support your lower back. Note whether lumbar support can be positioned by hand or moves automatically.

Armrests and desk

See whether the armrests adjust to a comfortable elbow position and whether they allow you to move close to your work surface.

Controls and trial

Check that controls are reachable while sitting. CCOHS says a trial period is essential when selecting a chair; where possible, try it with your regular desk and tasks.

Two source-checked models

Compare the adjustments that matter

These two product picks use manufacturer specifications and verified Amazon.ca seller routes. Their order is not a ranking. Specifications are maker-published figures, not independent performance results.

    SIHOO M57

The M57 is an all-mesh option with adjustable lumbar support and coordinated armrests.

    • Maker-listed maximum load: 330 lb.
    • Seat depth: 18.11 in; the maker lists one fixed depth, with no seat-depth adjustment.
    • Armrests: 3D coordinated adjustment.
    • Lumbar support: adjustable vertically and horizontally.
    • Recline: up to 126 degrees.

Fit and trade-off: Consider it if you want adjustable lumbar support and the maker's 330 lb limit suits your needs. The fixed 18.11 in seat depth may not suit every thigh length, so check the seat against your legs and use a trial if available.

Canadian route and availability: The Amazon.ca listing identified the M57 and showed in-stock availability, shipped and sold by SIHOO when checked 2026-10-29. Availability can change; confirm the seller and listing details before ordering.

Warranty: SIHOO lists a three-year warranty on its product page. Its warranty policy says authorized third-party platform purchases receive limited coverage with valid proof of purchase. Confirm the terms that apply to this Amazon.ca purchase and keep the order record.

    SIHOO Doro C300

The Doro C300 adds four-way coordinated arms and a self-adaptive lumbar system.

    • Maker-listed maximum load: 330 lb.
    • Seat depth: 18.11 in; the maker lists one fixed depth, with no seat-depth adjustment.
    • Armrests: 4D coordinated adjustment with tilt linkage.
    • Lumbar support: self-adaptive; the maker describes it as moving with the user rather than offering a manual position setting.
    • Recline: up to 130 degrees.

Fit and trade-off: The 4D arms and deeper recline range may suit someone who values more arm adjustment while reclining. The lumbar support is self-adaptive rather than manually positioned, and the seat depth is fixed, so it may be a poor match if you need to set either feature precisely.

Canadian route and availability: The Amazon.ca listing identified the black Doro C300 and showed in-stock availability; it shipped from Amazon and was sold by SIHOO when checked 2026-10-29.

What this guide can tell you

We have not handled or tested these chairs. Maker specifications help compare adjustment ranges and stated load limits, but they cannot establish comfort, durability, or fit for an individual. Use CCOHS's checklist, confirm that the seller and warranty terms still apply, and arrange a trial where possible.

Amazon.ca seller and availability checks for the two linked models were recorded on 2026-10-29 and may change. No exact-model Amazon.ca listing for the FlexiSpot C7 was verified on 2026-10-30.
